About

Where do I begin?

I’m Australian, born in Tasmania.

I grew up in Melbourne, Victoria, with my parents, 2 brothers and one sister, who we adopted.

I had a private girl’s school education where I loved sport and art more than anything academic.

My tertiary education was at RMIT in Melbourne, where I qualified with an Associate Diploma in Illustrative Photography. At the end of this 4 year course I was invited to work with a freelance film editor, because he loved a film script I wrote.

But this work was short lived, I was a hippy at heart. I donned the backpack, raised my thumb and began hitch-hiking to London…as you do in the 1970’s at 22 years old.

My range of wonderful experiences during the ensuing years overseas is massive…from being at Findhorn in Scotland, working in London, and Scotland, travelling all through Europe and Scandinavia with so many kind people who picked us up, and often invited us to their homes, or dropped us at the hostel front door.

Back to Perth in Australia, then family life began. Three children, 2 marriages, now 6 six children, and 13 grandchildren.

Is that enough about me?

No, my passions extend to the arts, nature, the ocean, beaches, photography, healthy food, walking, the outback, photography and of course writing about all of these.

I live in glorious Lennox Head in northern NSW with Nick.
